Emilio Colas started the match with the kick off. Tello AFC's Dionisio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Enol in the 2nd minute of play. A hard shot 7 in the game by Zeledon Enol from a close distance when the talented Dionisio Matia managed to make a qualified save. Tello AFC's players were relieved. Dionisio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Valiente in the 7th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Valiente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionisio Matia. Tello AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Valiente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Pascual Gonsalvo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorio Laffitte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tello AFC's Dionisio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Valiente in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Tello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Eufrasio to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Laffitte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Gonsalvo in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Rodolfo Valiente tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dionisio Matia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Club Atletico Juanita's Honorio Laffitte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Gonsalvo in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Kismi came free, but Honorio Laffitte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Atletico Juanita getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alfredo Rufio hit a great ball. Dionisio Matia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Rodas in the 33rd minute. Dionisio Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Enol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tello AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ramon Jaume hit a great ball. Dionisio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Valiente in the 44th minute of play. Silvestre Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionisio Matia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfredo Rufio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 48 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodolfo Valiente was the one to do the kick off. Tello AFC were furious when Gualterio Giro was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gualterio Giro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Justino Kismi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Rodas in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atletico Juanita getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Baldomero Benitez hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Baldomero Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Natal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionisio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Rodas in the 62nd minute of play. Dionisio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Enol in the 64th minute of the match. Zeledon Enol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Leonardo Rodas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Juanita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Leonardo Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Matia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Valiente in the 83rd minute of play forced Tello AFC's goalkeeper Dionisio Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Club Atletico Juanita got a corner. Tello AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo Rodas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Club Atletico Juanita's Leonardo Rodas to fire away a dangerous shot which Dionisio Matia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Zeledon Enol notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Tello AFC's Dionisio Matia. Dionisio Matia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dionisio Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Enol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Escobar charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Escobar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
