The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Gaviotas FC's zone, Lamine Yamal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Luke came out of the goal and Lamine Yamal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Elivareo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Lamine Yamal struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Gavino Luke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC FUSION. In the 15th minute, Domingo Quinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaviotas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benicio Senen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Quinto in the 23rd minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Ortle made a kick off. Silvestre Veronica charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 91st minute, Isidro Vimaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaviotas FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
