A collision led to StardustRevolution getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zacarias Lesardo hit a great ball. Celedonio Kinsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Sergio Nazario made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Kinsen got free with Sergio Nazario in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Desiderio Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Martxel in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Eulalio Soter got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 21st minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Desiderio Frederik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sporting de Gijón defense, Nicanor Pueblo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Desiderio Frederik. The Sporting de Gijón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Desiderio Frederik should have stopped the shot. Blas-Armando Giunta in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After taking down the ball on StardustRevolution's corner Bernardino Servando fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Desiderio Frederik quite easily take care of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Pueblo came free, but Desiderio Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desiderio Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Pueblo in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Nicanor Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blas-Armando Giunta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
