The Gaviotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Luke should have stopped the shot. Amador Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. Ildefonso Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Gavino Luke successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB's Amador Gabrio got a free kick in the 25th minute. Roque Calvet's late challenge caught a Gaviotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Calvet helped the player get up and apologised. If Ildefonso Ortle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Gabrio hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Savier to make the kick off. Domingo Quinto charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Quinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Gaviotas FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Quinto. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Domingo Quinto hit a great ball. Gavino Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Savier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
