Peron y Belgrano got a corner. Unidad de Matanza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celso Iraitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Celso Iraitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Octavio Raymond in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Matias Lidon's late challenge caught a C. S. Peron y Belgrano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matias Lidon helped the player get up and apologised. Unidad de Matanza's Octavio Raymond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bror Jönsätt in the 44th minute of play. In the 86th minute Hilario Janpier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Juan Txomin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
