The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Nofre got free with Jon Hagström in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute of the match Paulo Lluciano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Tabor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Delmiro Cibran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mauricio Tabor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lluciano in the 30th minute of play forced C.A.Esparta's goalkeeper Mauricio Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Cordarius scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Tabor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jon Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Nofre in the 88th minute of play. Lino Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
