With his leg Jon Hagström managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Black Rose 1979's Maximiliano Dalmu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. De Boedo Vengo's Jon Hagström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save De Boedo Vengo from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Lázaro Cordarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Delmiro Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Dalmu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Lluciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Guillem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Lluciano ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomero Guillem came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by De Boedo Vengo's Lázaro Cordarius. But to his dismay, Lázaro Cordarius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emilio Rico charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Rico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Dalmu to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Severino Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Boedo Vengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomero Guillem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Cibran, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Moises Eyague mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Boedo Vengo and the Black Rose 1979 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yu Yao hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Aquiles Belasko hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Emilio Rico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Baldomero Guillem made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Dalmu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lluciano in the 75th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Baldomero Guillem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when De Boedo Vengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 79th minute of the match Severiano Amaya completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Severiano Amaya a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to De Boedo Vengo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Severiano Amaya hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Ordono. Paulo Lluciano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baldomero Guillem firmly grabbed it by the left post. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Rose 1979's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Lluciano was slow to take the kick. During this time De Boedo Vengo's players had a chance to rest. Paulo Lluciano made a great header on De Boedo Vengo's corner, it was just that Black Rose 1979's Baldomero Guillem managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Black Rose 1979's Baldomero Guillem got control of the ball when Emilio Rico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximiliano Dalmu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Hagström having to interfere. The De Boedo Vengo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Boedo Vengo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
