Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isaac Perrando started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Perrando in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Eudoxio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Benicio Izquierdo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Leo Tximitx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martín Izquierdo. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leo Tximitx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Isaac Perrando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Eudoxio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Martin Palermo F.C.'s Isaac Perrando shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After a defensive mix-up in Locura Académica's zone, Isaac Perrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Eudoxio came out of the goal and Isaac Perrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Perrando came free, but Hernan Eudoxio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martín Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Tximitx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Ponc. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Mundo in the 28th minute of play. Locura Académica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angel Firmo in the 29th minute. A nice corner shot did that Angel Firmo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Martín Izquierdo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Martin Palermo F.C.'s zone, Jonas Argider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martín Izquierdo came out of the goal and Jonas Argider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Leo Tximitx got a free kick in the 37th minute. Isaac Perrando was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Martín Izquierdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Tximitx, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Hernan Eudoxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Frutos got free with Hernan Eudoxio in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jonas Argider hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Hernan Eudoxio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Perrando's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Cornelio Calvino kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Perrando in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Eudoxio saved Locura Académica from getting behind. When Rigoberto Ponc came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Martin Palermo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Ponc couldn't finish the play. Santiago Guillelmo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Perrando in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Eudoxio saved Locura Académica from getting behind. When Celedonio Mundo fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Locura Académica's protests and gave Celedonio Mundo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Celedonio Mundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaac Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Eudoxio having to interfere. Celso Frutos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernan Eudoxio having to make a save. After 76 minutes, Siro Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Martin Palermo F.C. and the Locura Académica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Cordarrol hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Angel Firmo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martín Izquierdo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hernan Eudoxio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Perrando in the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benicio Izquierdo during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Izquierdo. After some careless play in the Locura Académica defense, Isaac Perrando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernan Eudoxio. The Locura Académica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Eudoxio should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Martin Palermo F.C. had won after a very even match.
