The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bartolo Amato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Quirce in the 8th minute of the match. The tension between the Piquirenda FC and the Imperio Académico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Piquirenda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Mastantuono to maneuver through the defense. When Piquirenda FC's Serafin Igon in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Igon in the 33rd minute of play. When Piquirenda FC's Silvestre Peter in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Imperio Académico getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Leo Ondino hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Imperio Académico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Gogo Gimenez, was totally fooled by Piquirenda FC's Ambrosio Lidon, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Bartolo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Carlomagno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When Franco Mastantuono was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 51 minutes had been played. Franco Mastantuono hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bartolo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Peter in the 57th minute of play. If Serafin Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Castulo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Bartolo Amato when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Imperio Académico's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Igon came free, but Gogo Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Castulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Bartolo Amato made a huge save. Bartolo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Imperio Académico got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Quirce. Nunez Playo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gogo Gimenez. Imperio Académico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Orlando Castulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Bartolo Amato made a huge save. Serafin Igon might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gogo Gimenez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Igon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute, Silvestre Peter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafin Igon scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Gimenez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Piquirenda FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
