Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) With a little luck, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno got control of the ball when Alejo Carlomagno tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Baltasar Rios fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Baltasar Rios a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Baltasar Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8thth minute of the game Aureliano Quirce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Imperio Académico's Aureliano Quirce in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalie prevented a goal. Aureliano Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Amancio Magdaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Aureliano Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Magdaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Goiz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Alejo Carlomagno took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amancio Magdaleno. Amancio Magdaleno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Amancio Magdaleno was a little too slow when Orlando Castulo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Gogo Gimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Richie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Formerio in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Formerio in the 33rd minute of play forced Imperio Académico's goalkeeper Gogo Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Apolo Richie in the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's corner Apolo Richie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gogo Gimenez quite easily take care of the ball. In the 36th minute, Imperio Académico's Leo Ondino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Bonifacio Osasun charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifacio Osasun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Imperio Académico got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Osasun. After 42 played minutes, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Apolo Richie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gogo Gimenez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS reached it. Apolo Richie succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to get real power on a long shot . Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! Amancio Magdaleno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Castulo in the 46th minute.

Amancio Magdaleno came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Imperio Académico's Orlando Castulo. But to his dismay, Orlando Castulo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Aureliano Quirce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Quirce in the 59th minute of play. Aureliano Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Magdaleno having to interfere. The Imperio Académico fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Imperio Académico's Orlando Castulo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bonifacio Osasun lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 69 minutes into the game, one of Imperio Académico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute Apolo Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Carlomagno came free, but Amancio Magdaleno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Alejo Carlomagno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Magdaleno. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejo Carlomagno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Aureliano Quirce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperio Académico's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Quirce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Magdaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejo Carlomagno in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Magdaleno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Académico from getting a goal against them. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Quirce in the 97th minute of play. Imperio Académico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
