Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeledon Rubio in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Mitxaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Txanton in the 13th minute of play forced ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s goalkeeper Gavino Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Price made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Salamon in the 14th minute of play. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Gavino Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Palermo in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Loco Palermo made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Lartaun to maneuver through the defense. Hermengildo Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loco Palermo scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Orlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ defense, Marcos Mederi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Orlan. The ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Orlan should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Michael Ballack came free, but Gavino Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Mederi to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Cristo Mitxaut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Characate FC the free kick. The supporters of Characate FC booed when ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Mederi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gavino Orlan made a huge save. Marcos Mederi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gavino Orlan came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcos Mederi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 67th minute. Gavino Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Mederi in the 70th minute. After 71 minutes ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Mouricio who took care of the corner kick. Characate FC's Daniel Mouricio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gavino Orlan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s goalkeeper Gavino Orlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loco Palermo. In the 81st minute Hermengildo Bertol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Price saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, Characate FC's Loco Palermo made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Orlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michael Ballack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Orlan having to interfere. Benjamin Price made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Mitxaut in the 93rd minute of play. Gavino Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Mederi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Characate FC played a much better game than ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ and deserved their victory. The ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
