In the 9th minute of the match Alejandra got a corner. Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rodri De Paul ran over to the corner to take the kick. Róbert Szepesvári made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Urtun in the 18th minute. Augusto Martín stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Ourente's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Urtun came free, but Róbert Szepesvári reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Domingo Manny fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Dep. Union Madereros's protests and gave Domingo Manny a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alejandra booed when Club Dep. Union Madereros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Manny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Martín showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Ourente, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Union Madereros defense, Efrain Atauri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbert Szepesvári. The Club Dep. Union Madereros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbert Szepesvári should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Isidro Urtun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alejandra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Laurendi in the 45th minute of play forced Alejandra's goalkeeper Augusto Martín to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Daniel Laurendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Martín made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Rodri De Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. A hard shot by Geordi Berthelette from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Augusto Martín's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alejandra's Augusto Martín played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Ourente in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Gogo Pavone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Urtun in the 65th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Róbert Szepesvári to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Ourente in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augusto Martín, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 69th minute Gogo Pavone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Club Dep. Union Madereros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Dimo to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Fabio Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Augusto Martín managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Club Dep. Union Madereros's Ismael Ourente fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ismael Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Dominguess short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Augusto Martín to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 93 minutes into the match, Alejandra's Isidro Urtun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Róbert Szepesvári narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alejandra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Dep. Union Madereros had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
