Bernardo Sazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Chale in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Edison Cavani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Chale in the 9th minute of play. Danilo Chale took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Sazon. Bernardo Sazon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edison Cavani hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bernardo Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Reyes in the 24th minute of play. Frontera AFC's Bernardo Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Chale in the 30th minute of play. Javier Gutxi charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Gutxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Olimpo de Bahia Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Javier Gutxi. The crowd rose to their feet as Frontera AFC's Miguel Merentiel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Faustino Markel. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. A collision led to Olimpo de Bahia Blanca getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Delmar Erauso hit a great ball. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Faustino Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Merentiel in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Frontera AFC got a corner. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Márcico ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Márcico got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustino Markel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 48th minute Edison Cavani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edison Cavani made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Cucao in the 53rd minute of play forced Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Faustino Markel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Danilo Chale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Javier Gutxi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. After 57 played minutes Olimpo de Bahia Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Javier Gutxi. Vinicio Reyes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Bernardo Sazon made a huge save. In the 61st match minute, Frontera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Lema to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Sazon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpo de Bahia Blanca. After 70 minutes of play, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Ubaldo Vedillo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Sazon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ubaldo Vedillo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Frontera AFC's Brian Aguirre was substituted for Edison Cavani. A nice corner shot did that Zacarias Pacho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernardo Sazon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frontera AFC's Brian Aguirre got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Aresti. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Aguirre in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Markel saved Olimpo de Bahia Blanca from getting behind. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
