Benedicto Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Frichoso having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Joaquin Gallardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Frichoso. Club Floresta Manda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Gallardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Emanuel Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Gutenberg's Sérgio Romero got control of the ball when Leonel Ereinotz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Floresta Manda's Emanuel Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Gallardo in the 14th minute of play. Pablo Berart hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Joaquin Gallardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gutenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Gallardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Gudesteo got free with Sérgio Romero in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Gallardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Frichoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Joaquin Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Benedicto Bento put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Frichoso. In the 42nd minute Joaquin Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Bento in the 43rd minute of play forced Club Floresta Manda's goalkeeper Emanuel Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Gallardo in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Bento to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Floresta Manda's zone, Joaquin Gallardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Frichoso came out of the goal and Joaquin Gallardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 52 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Esdras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gutenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Floresta Manda the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Maximiliano Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sérgio Romero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Matthew went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Sérgio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Gudesteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the game, John Rambo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuel Frichoso. John Rambo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Joaquin Gallardo took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Frichoso. Emanuel Frichoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. 74 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Ioritz came free, but Sérgio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joaquin Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquin Gallardo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Emanuel Frichoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gutenberg. 84 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cetino came free, but Sérgio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joaquin Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gallardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Frichoso having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gutenberg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
