When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Armin Caponera sped through U21 Totoras F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Germán Burgos. A collision led to U21 Totoras F.C. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alejandro Viator hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Sergio Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Edur came free, but Cristian Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Lorien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Edur in the 15th minute of play. Gerardo Edur hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Germán Burgos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Kilman, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Edur in the 24th minute of play forced Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Cristian Lorien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Totoras F.C.'s Germán Burgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Innocenzio in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Edur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Johan Kilman put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Germán Burgos. Germán Burgos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johan Kilman went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Hernan Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germán Burgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johan Kilman to strike the kick off in the second half. U21 Totoras F.C.'s Germán Burgos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Totoras F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Johan Kilman came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sacro Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Kilman couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the U21 Totoras F.C. defense, Baldomero Innocenzio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germán Burgos. The U21 Totoras F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germán Burgos should have stopped the shot. Germán Burgos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Kilman in the 89th minute of play. U21 Totoras F.C. were furious when Alejandro Viator was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 91 minutes into the game, one of U21 Totoras F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The excitement rose when Sacro Balompié's Sergio Batista after 94 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for U21 Totoras F.C.'s goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-7. If Baldomero Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sacro Balompié's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
