An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Silviano in the 28th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Robert Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goalkeeper Robert Vassenius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustaquio Florian. In the 32nd match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Anselmino to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Eustaquio Florian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Vassenius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Junior Corrado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Vassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Defensores del Tiki Tiki booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Rufio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Vassenius. RB Chubut's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RB Chubut were winning 0-1.

Robert Vassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Silviano in the 53rd minute of the match. When Gabríel Batistuta fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RB Chubut's protests and gave Gabríel Batistuta a yellow card for diving instead. The throw-in from Sava Putilin in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by RB Chubut's Bogdan Lenertej. Robert Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Silviano, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute Junior Corrado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Vassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Silviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Vassenius having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Junior Corrado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Vassenius was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 89 minutes into the game, Junior Corrado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Robert Vassenius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Defensores del Tiki Tiki players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
