Carlos Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Galo in the 14th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Luciano Frisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Charmander City's zone, Abram Elano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Mello came out of the goal and Abram Elano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Sebastian Boselli in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Charmander City's Higinio Casado. 38 minutes into the game, Charmander City's Luciano Frisco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Charmander City's Tarzan Puyol got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Narciso Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Carlos Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simula Drong to make the kick off.
