Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) C. A. Independiente's Roy Huston started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Huston in the 5th minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Florin Quelia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Eron Sanez sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute of the match Golden Dragón F.C got a corner. C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Magdaleno Revenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Golden Dragón F.C's Magdaleno Revenga to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Ángel Santoro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josu Mendibuey in the 15th minute of play. If Josu Mendibuey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Edelmiro Diz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Diz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Diz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to make a save. C. A. Independiente's Todd Ogden quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Chorche Torrescassana, made in the 43rd minute of the game. Golden Dragón F.C's Florin Quelia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Becerra in the 44th minute of play. Eron Sanez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. After the first half C. A. Independiente were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josu Mendibuey made a kick off. After 53 minutes C. A. Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Magdaleno Revenga who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rafael Flynn hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Rafael Flynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Dragón F.C the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of C. A. Independiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golden Dragón F.C:s goal. Miguel Ángel Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eron Sanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Conrad Carrington hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Conrad Carrington. If Eron Sanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Loaisa succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 78th minute, Roy Huston reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Florin Quelia. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Santoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conrad Carrington could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Florin Quelia made a huge save. Florin Quelia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C. A. Independiente's Conrad Carrington shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. 90 minutes into the match, Edgardo Loaisa notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
