Luís Ferreira started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Luís Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Johnathon Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 6 minutes into the match, Luís Ferreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Ferreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Agustin Pillado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Armando Paniagua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Paniagua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Norman Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mankato defense, Agustin Pillado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathon Gallo. The Mankato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathon Gallo should have stopped the shot. After 23 played minutes Mankato got a freekick which was hit by Dexter Jeffers. Johnathon Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Paniagua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Pillado in the 25th minute of play. Johnathon Gallo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustin Pillado went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Johnathon Gallo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vincent Murieta went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute Luís Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathon Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Ferreira in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Armando Paniagua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnathon Gallo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 43rd minute, Luís Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnathon Gallo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 47th minute Norman Bergman suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Rey Villazan's late challenge caught a Mankato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rey Villazan helped the player get up and apologised. Mankato's Bryant Reeder was substituted for Norman Bergman. After 49 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Rey Villazan. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-9 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bryant Reeder was the one to do the kick off. Luís Ferreira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 54th playminute. Luís Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnathon Gallo came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 57th minute. Johnathon Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Cueto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Paniagua scored 0-12 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Paniagua in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, C.A. GUAYACO's Agustin Pillado made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnathon Gallo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Pillado got free with Johnathon Gallo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mankato getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jarrod Langston hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Luís Ferreira lined in a short shot 0-14 behind a frustrated Johnathon Gallo. The crowd rose to their feet as Armando Paniagua kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Johnathon Gallo. That made the score 0-15 in the 84 minute of play. Armando Paniagua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Johnathon Gallo made a huge save. Johnathon Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Murieta in the 90th minute of the match. Johnathon Gallo was a little too slow when Armando Paniagua got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-16. 95 minutes into the game, Leonides Cueto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. GUAYACO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mankato the free kick. After 96 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Cueto. When the match was over C.A. GUAYACO could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mankato throughout the match.
