After having played for 3 minutes, Adalberto Pellegri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Ulises Fanjul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Poulus Farias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RKO AFC's Poulus Farias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dexter Jeffers in the 19th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Mankato's Dexter Jeffers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Poulus Farias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dexter Jeffers hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Mankato's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Fanjul came free, but Johnathon Gallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Norman Bergman fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mankato's protests and gave Norman Bergman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of RKO AFC booed when Mankato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Fanjul made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ulises Fanjul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RKO AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 56th minute of the match Adalberto Pellegri shot from a long distance. In the 64th minute, Adalberto Pellegri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
