The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, DALO S.C.'s Ramos Pejuan got control of the ball when Rocendo Abar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Luis Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Internacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Abarca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rocendo Abar got free with Ramos Pejuan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quilo Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocendo Abar in the 20th minute of play forced DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Ramos Pejuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramos Pejuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quilo Abalos's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s Nixon Laurencio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ourente Abello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Arguiso in the 25th minute of play. Roman Arguiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Quilo Abalos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Trespuentes in the 31st minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Ourente Abello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Roman Arguiso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Internacional's Ourente Abello did a great save. Rocendo Abar took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramos Pejuan. Ramos Pejuan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Arguiso in the 37th minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Ourente Abello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Trespuentes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, DALO S.C.'s Norberto Trespuentes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Norberto Trespuentes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ourente Abello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 68 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Perucho came free, but Ourente Abello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Abarca struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ramos Pejuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional. Ramos Pejuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocendo Abar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luis Abarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Arguiso came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ourente Abello could save by the left post. 77 minutes in the game, Roman Arguiso dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Perucho in the 79th minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Ourente Abello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Perucho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ourente Abello having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Quilo Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Internacional's Ourente Abello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Trespuentes in the 86th minute of play. Ramos Pejuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocendo Abar, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 96 minutes, Rocendo Abar made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. DALO S.C.'s Ramos Pejuan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
