The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rage F.C.'s Johnny Rage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchazadec Sorondo in the 19th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Melchazadec Sorondo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Rage was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Rage F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Josías Puertocarrero hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pes Carrasquedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters rose to their feet, but Pes Carrasquedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Rage breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Melchazadec Sorondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Sierralta in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio Salles saved Glorioso Deportivo Cali from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jânio Salles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alipio Piña. After a rather tough play, Rage F.C.'s Alipio Piña got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Pes Carrasquedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pes Carrasquedo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Jânio Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Sierralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Rage F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
