In the 10th minute, Harrison McCann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internacional Pechofrío fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 13th match minute, Internacional Pechofrío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rómulo Gallegos to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Thacker came free, but Emil Zátopek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andy Gaston made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jakob Ingebrigtsen sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harrison McCann got free with Andy Gaston in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harrison McCann came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andy Gaston could save by the left post. A collision led to Jagiellonia Denver getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jerry Lazure hit a great ball. Harrison McCann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Andy Gaston skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Harrison McCann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional Pechofrío's supporters rose to their feet, but Harrison McCann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Gaston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venceslao Solares during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Venceslao Solares hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Rómulo Gallegos's late challenge caught a Jagiellonia Denver's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rómulo Gallegos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Internacional Pechofrío getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rómulo Gallegos hit a great ball. Internacional Pechofrío's Emil Zátopek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilon Hodges in the 28th minute of play. When Reynaldo Thacker came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jagiellonia Denver fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Thacker couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute of the match, Jakob Ingebrigtsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andy Gaston saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Harrison McCann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andy Gaston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harrison McCann in the 37th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Jagiellonia Denver got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Pena. Harrison McCanns short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Andy Gaston to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harrison McCann made a kick off. If Hoyt Dove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Harrison McCann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Andy Gaston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute, Gilbert Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Venceslao Solares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliu Bellogin hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Felicien Schwartz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Andy Gaston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrison McCann in the 81st minute of the match. Harrison McCann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Andy Gaston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Internacional Pechofrío's Jakob Ingebrigtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gilbert Pena in the 89 minute of the game. Harrison McCann struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Andy Gaston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional Pechofrío. After 94 minutes, Harrison McCann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internacional Pechofrío and the Jagiellonia Denver players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Internacional Pechofrío fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jagiellonia Denver had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
