Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Libardo Fuentes started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Félix Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Orlando Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Libardo Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amato Heyboer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Araucampeón Retirado's zone, Orlando Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amato Heyboer came out of the goal and Orlando Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 minutes, Bartolomé Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araucampeón Retirado and the Club Deportivo Águila players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bartolomé Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Libardo Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amato Heyboer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Flores in the 31st minute of play forced Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Amato Heyboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Araucampeón Retirado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Argomedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolomé Fantini hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Amato Heyboer came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Águila's Libardo Fuentes. But to his dismay, Libardo Fuentes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fidel Redondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Galeas having to interfere. After the first half Club Deportivo Águila were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Camilo Galeas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Redondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Orlando Flores took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Amato Heyboer to make any attempt to save it. Félix Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Amato Heyboer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Libardo Fuentes in the 79th minute of the match. Fidel Redondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Camilo Galeas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fidel Redondo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Araucampeón Retirado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Redondo couldn't finish the play. Amato Heyboer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libardo Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Deportivo Águila walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
