The referee ignored Araucampeón Retirado's protests and gave Bartolomé Fantini a yellow card for diving instead. Bartolomé Fantini hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Amato Heyboer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telo Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Xabel Barga fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Xabel Barga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Araucampeón Retirado booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xabel Barga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricart Guajardo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Honorio Kowalesko made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Diablos Rojos's Celestino Villamañan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frantxizko Serra in the 35th minute of play forced Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Amato Heyboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Amato Heyboer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Honorio Kowalesko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Araucampeón Retirado's Fidel Redondo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Amato Heyboer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telo Amaya in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Honorio Kowalesko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Villamañan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes, Honorio Kowalesko made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Diablos Rojos's Celestino Villamañan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Celestino Villamañan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Kowalesko, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The Araucampeón Retirado fans cheered their team off the field, for while Diablos Rojos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
