Cornelio Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubarna Varsana in the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Asuaga in the 4th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Cornelio Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Asuaga came free, but Cornelio Mino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Ubarna Varsana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cornelio Mino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jerson Iturbide made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Elpidio Chayo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Chayo got free with Jerson Iturbide in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elpidio Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerson Iturbide having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Elpidio Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águilas Poblanas's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerson Iturbide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Estavan. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 52 minutes, Jonatan Cordaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Águilas Poblanas and the Eléctricos F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornelio Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubarna Varsana, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Jerson Iturbide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Chayo in the 58th minute of play. When Leonardo Estavan fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Leonardo Estavan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Leonardo Estavan hit a great ball. Telmo Ron kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Elpidio Chayo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águilas Poblanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Moises Nisio charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Nisio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Moises Nisio hit a great ball. If Ubelteso Ribadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elpidio Chayo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerson Iturbide having to make a save. Valentim Uja charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentim Uja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Eléctricos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Valentim Uja. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Ron during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerson Iturbide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Palben in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Eléctricos F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
