After 2 minutes, Saul Sugar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiburones Rojos and the The Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 2 played minutes Tiburones Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Saul Sugar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Tristan in the 5th minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Vinicio Bidari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guifre Eguilaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santa Luis in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Tiburones Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Lizar came free, but Guifre Eguilaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Gaudencio Salomone got a free kick in the 12th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Jairo Lizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Lizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Old Boys's Jairo Lizar got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Jairo Lizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guifre Eguilaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Cloyo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guifre Eguilaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24thth minute of the game Gaudencio Salomone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Old Boys's Vinicio Bidari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiburones Rojos's Guifre Eguilaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Lizar in the 25th minute of play. Guifre Eguilaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Lizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, The Old Boys's Aquilino Lauren made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guifre Eguilaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Tiburones Rojos defense, Aquilino Lauren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guifre Eguilaz. The Tiburones Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guifre Eguilaz should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Aquilino Lauren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Guifre Eguilaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half The Old Boys were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodosio Lain was the one to do the kick off. The Old Boys's Vinicio Bidari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Elia in the 51st minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, The Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Lain came free, but Vinicio Bidari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guifre Eguilaz made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Santa Luis sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Jairo Lizar made a precise shot to the right of Guifre Eguilaz. Tiburones Rojos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 64th minute Jairo Lizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guifre Eguilaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Aquilino Lauren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Old Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Feliciano Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Guifre Eguilaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes of play Tiburones Rojos's Saul Sugar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Aquilino Lauren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Guifre Eguilaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Tristan charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixto Tristan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sixto Tristan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of The Old Boys booed when Tiburones Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Tristan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Santa Luis came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the The Old Boys fans jumped to their feet. Santa Luis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Guifre Eguilaz made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Feliciano Leoiar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Santa Luis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guifre Eguilaz having to make a save. A collision led to The Old Boys getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Silvio Birjaio hit a great ball. Guifre Eguilaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Lizar in the 94th minute of play.
