The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanio Lezaeta got free with Isauro Contero in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isauro Contero made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tanio Lezaeta sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Tanio Lezaeta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talcampeón FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tanio Lezaeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Isauro Contero made a huge save. Apolo Larrañaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Biosca in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Ysmael Peraza got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Tanio Lezaeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Isauro Contero made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Biosca in the 55th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Apolo Larrañaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Eliseo Biosca notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Talcampeón FC's Apolo Larrañaga. Apolo Larrañaga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Emenon Borrego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ríver Late's supporters rose to their feet, but Emenon Borrego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Larrañaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zelipe Laboy fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ríver Late's protests and gave Zelipe Laboy a yellow card for diving instead. Zelipe Laboy hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th match minute, Ríver Late was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tauro Sandoval to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 93 minutes, Eliseo Biosca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frantxizko Olarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Larrañaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
