In the 9th minute, Xaiver Albalate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Cross might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moreno Gaztelumendi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Cross ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hogwarts's goalkeeper Moreno Gaztelumendi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 12 minutes on the clock, Romulo Olalde commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 12th minute, Romulo Olalde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moreno Gaztelumendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Cross's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Cross in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moreno Gaztelumendi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Cross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moreno Gaztelumendi having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Jacinto Cross who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hogwarts's Moreno Gaztelumendi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Jacinto Cross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moreno Gaztelumendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Larrañaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Messi in the 35th minute of play. Leo Messi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Larrañaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Rómulo Ventura got a free kick in the 39th minute. Jacinto Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Mella's late challenge caught a Hogwarts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosme Mella helped the player get up and apologised. Cosme Mella hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hogwarts's Oswaldo Andujar got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Cross to make the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hogwarts's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tanio Lezaeta was slow to take the kick. During this time Talcampeón FC's players had a chance to rest. Talcampeón FC's Tanio Lezaeta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moreno Gaztelumendi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Moreno Gaztelumendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Cross's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When Jacinto Cross came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Talcampeón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Cross couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Jacinto Cross put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Moreno Gaztelumendi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Vilches during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Vilches.
