Felix Pascua took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Bernal. Nemesio Bernal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Rocio to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Loja S.C.'s Rene Carrandi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nemesio Bernal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 70th minute Jorge Rocio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Lecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carlos Froila fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pakorro AFC's protests and gave Carlos Froila a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Veronica Sabugo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loja S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 76th minute, Rene Carrandi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urtun Baldaliso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nemesio Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute of the match, Felix Pascua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nemesio Bernal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Felix Pascua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Bernal having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Loja S.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
