Josías Ossa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilazki Serrana in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mariano Daughters hit a great ball. After 9 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Ríos. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Mihnea Berceanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 17th minute, one of Real Unión CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Unión CF. After a rather tough play, Real Unión CF's Lu Hai Cheng got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Felipe Hernández got a free kick in the 31st minute. Zosimo Villalaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Josías Ossa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC Richmond's Josías Ossa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Richmond from getting a goal against them. Mihnea Berceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Unión CF's Demetrio Busillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Albis in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Berceanu came free, but Josías Ossa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

AFC Richmond's Domenico Macuer was substituted for Mariano Daughters. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihnea Berceanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AFC Richmond's attentive Edilberto Faesch managed to snatch the ball when Dantae Oromi made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Josías Ossa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Berceanu in the 57th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Macuer to maneuver through the defense. Demetrio Busillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Macuer in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Hernández in the 72nd minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Demetrio Busillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Berceanu came free, but Josías Ossa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lu Hai Cheng, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Real Unión CF's Demetrio Busillo got control of the ball when Remicio Vos de Vos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Demetrio Busillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrio Busillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Hernández in the 91st minute of the match. When Remicio Vos de Vos came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the AFC Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remicio Vos de Vos couldn't finish the play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC Richmond would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
