Felix Pascua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Charis Manatakis made a huge save. When Rene Carrandi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loja S.C.'s protests and gave Rene Carrandi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Rene Carrandi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Lecea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beila Cacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Charis Manatakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Pascua went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 14 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Urtun Baldaliso. When Mustafa Emrah Vahip came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Mesere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Emrah Vahip couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Eate Azcaraso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Lecea. Loja S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eate Azcaraso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Nocedo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pacho Losua didn't quite understand what happened when in the 30 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 33rd minute, Vasile Soare made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Lecea. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beila Cacho in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidel Lecea saved Loja S.C. from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasile Soare made a kick off. Beila Cacho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fidel Lecea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mesere's Reiner Braun was substituted for Millrick Ballestero. In the 61st minute, Rene Carrandi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Lecea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Soare in the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Loja S.C.'s Fidel Lecea got control of the ball when Vasile Soare tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charis Manatakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Pascua in the 69th minute of play. Fidel Lecea made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Vasile Soare sent off a good shot on target. Mustafa Emrah Vahip took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Lecea. Fidel Lecea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 76 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alexandro Antoniano. Loja S.C.'s Fidel Lecea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Loja S.C. from getting a goal against them. Fidel Lecea made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Vasile Soare sent off a good shot on target. Mustafa Emrah Vahip kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Rene Carrandi got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Veronica Sabugo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Mesere could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Loja S.C. throughout the match.
