Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horace Vaughn started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darin Nunn to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Zamorano struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Tomas Donovan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRUZ DEL SUR. After 5 minutes of play, Flames FC's Horace Vaughn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Pedro Owen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Donovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Faraggi in the 9th minute of play. Tomas Donovan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Zamorano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tomas Donovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Zamorano in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Horace Vaughn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CRUZ DEL SUR's Juan Pedro Owen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by CRUZ DEL SUR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micheal Burnham was slow to take the kick. During this time Flames FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Micheal Burnham almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CRUZ DEL SUR's Juan Pedro Owen did a great save. Ferrán Casas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Flames FC's Horace Vaughn in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CRUZ DEL SUR's goalie prevented a goal. Adam Faraggi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Donovan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horace Vaughn in the 34th minute of play forced CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Juan Pedro Owen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Pedro Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horace Vaughn in the 36th minute of play. Darin Nunn charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darin Nunn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when Flames FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Nunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Tolhauzsen in the 39th minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Tomas Donovan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Orval Crow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Pedro Owen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Juan Pedro Owen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horace Vaughn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Aaron Zamorano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Vicente Tolhauzsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. The supporters of Flames FC booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Tolhauzsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, CRUZ DEL SUR's Juan Pedro Owen got control of the ball when Orval Crow tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Ignacio Berguecio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flames FC's goalkeeper Tomas Donovan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Zamorano in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Donovan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Pedro Owen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrose Keen in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lorenzo Ariztía hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Flames FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
