In the 35th minute, La Mandarina Mecánica's César Menachem dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. La Mandarina Mecánica's Leobardo Abajas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Long Yuan De in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tanio Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarando Eguizabal in the 45th minute of play. A hard shot 46 in the game by Leobardo Abajas from a close distance when the talented Long Yuan De managed to make a qualified save. Astillero del Guayas's players were relieved.

The wind increased when Leobardo Abajas made the kick off in the second half.
