Archibaldo Arria kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osorio Ubago came free, but Jim Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osorio Ubago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osorio Ubago in the 11th minute of the match. If Osorio Ubago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Osorio Ubago hit a great ball. Eate Marines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamar Burton, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute Vito Romeu suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Pedro Finn charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Finn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Ismael Becerro was substituted for Vito Romeu. The supporters of JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Smart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute of the match Galo Espin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jim Mitchell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Rusty Little ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eate Marines was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 93 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goalkeeper Jim Mitchell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Fandiño. Rusty Little received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eate Marines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
