With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Savier Arco saved Club Deportivo Xpertin from getting behind. Savier Arco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Squella in the 14th minute of play. Rolf Holmgren made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Antonello Sergi sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Xpertin's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Irigoyen came free, but Savier Arco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes General Velásquez's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonello Sergi who took care of the corner kick. Savier Arco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Jorge Vicente Squella put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Savier Arco. In the 42nd minute, Manuelo Oñez y Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Savier Arco managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when General Velásquez's Jorge Vicente Squella fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorge Vicente Squella had several of the Club Deportivo Xpertin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Savier Arco as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Apolo Irigoyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute.
