The referee showed Sandy Hendrix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Sandy Hendrix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes of play, Deportivo Ortegano's Sendoa Larrañaga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eustaquio Ondino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gale Laliberté in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano Lobado during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Deportivo Ortegano got a freekick which was hit by Elano Lobado. After a defensive mix-up in Varennes's zone, Elano Lobado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brice Leach came out of the goal and Elano Lobado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eustaquio Ondino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee Coffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randell McCullough in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Eustaquio Ondino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Randell McCullough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Ondino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Deportivo Ortegano got a freekick which was hit by Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia. In the 33rd minute, Elano Lobado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Ortegano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The corner ended in Salvador Braswell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Ortegano's Eustaquio Ondino did a great save. Brice Leach made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Sendoa Larrañaga sent off a good shot on target.
