The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvio Orlondo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tadeo Ignado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Beliran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tadeo Ignado sped through Cavaliers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isaac Beliran. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Tadeo Ignado got a free kick in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, Cavaliers FC's Nemesio Abella threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manuel Bernad, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Bernad in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nemesio Abella saved River CBBA from getting behind. Isaac Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Ignado in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, River CBBA's Nemesio Abella got control of the ball when Manuel Bernad tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Rodolfo Gaur went to the cornerflag to take it. After 39 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Barto. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Julio Olarticoechea got a free kick in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Manuel Bernad took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nemesio Abella to make any attempt to save it. Nemesio Abella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Bernad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cheng Ang Ning during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cheng Ang Ning kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The throw-in from Romeo Barto in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by River CBBA's Julio Olarticoechea. With an all-out effort, River CBBA's Isaac Beliran threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tadeo Ignado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cavaliers FC's Candido Cesaro was substituted for Manuel Bernad. River CBBA were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Cavaliers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reinaldo Merlo took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cavaliers FC's goalie and right to Fernanco Abarca. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cavaliers FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tadeo Ignado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Isaac Beliran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cavaliers FC's Gonzalo Nardo was substituted for Jesus Dalmai. River CBBA made a substitution. Lazaro Abadie replaced Juanpi Sorin. Isaac Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Ignado in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Julio Olarticoechea hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Cesaro came free, but Nemesio Abella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River CBBA made a substitution. Gio Simeone replaced Tadeo Ignado. In the 88th minute, one of Cavaliers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cavaliers FC. The corner ended in Reinaldo Merlo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cavaliers FC's Isaac Beliran did a great save. In the 94th minute Gio Simeone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Beliran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
