U. de Tarapacá's Kåre Nochev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Abajas in the 25th minute of play. Blanco Larreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Ibarra having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Kalatakaya F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Fernández. U. de Tarapacá's Alonso Venturino got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aaron Abascal hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Alfredo Saralegui got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute, Arotza Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Saralegui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Luis Ibarra made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blanco Paris to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Alfredo Saralegui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Ibarra. Kalatakaya F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Saralegui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 56 minutes, Blanco Paris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U. de Tarapacá and the Kalatakaya F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blanco Paris kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Loreto Abaurre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kåre Nochev. That made the score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. Jonathan Abecia's late challenge caught a U. de Tarapacá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Abecia helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Paris. U. de Tarapacá's Kåre Nochev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save U. de Tarapacá from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Kalatakaya F.C.'s Sergio Castillo got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Paulín Jurado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
