Andy Petersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Pihlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aero Björndalen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hisingen IK the free kick. Edvard Bredberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Frans Karlberg made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Aero Björndalen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hisingen IK.
