Lars-Erik Wall made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Bengt-Arne Stabbe sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after AIF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rickard Andreasson took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rickard Andreasson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bengt Felin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fabian Kråk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lars-Erik Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AIF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
