Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hugo Rudqvist started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Köping getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ivan Kvick hit a great ball. Hugo Rudqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertil Häger having to make a save. Per-Erik Allbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bertil Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Köping's Hugo Rudqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertil Häger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hugo Rudqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Häger having to interfere. Ivan Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bertil Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Groth hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Nils-Åke Arvidsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köping's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Åke Arvidsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertil Häger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A very good chance. Hugo Rudqvist struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Bertil Häger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köping. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Kvick during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Olof Vallander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo Rudqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Rudqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulf Wallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Vallander in the 67th minute of play.
