When Börje Hybbert fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored spikarna's protests and gave Börje Hybbert a yellow card for diving instead. spikarna's Per-Arne Lång got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Emil Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Wallman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Kvick charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Kvick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Köping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Kvick to maneuver through the defense. Köping's Ivan Kvick got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Kvick in the 31st minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Emil Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hugo Rudqvist made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Köping's Per-Erik Allbom got a free kick in the 55th minute. Emil Bennet kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Emil Bennet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Wallman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Oscar Söderqwist. Ulf Wallman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Arne Lång in the 74th minute. Ivan Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Stål having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Söderqwist during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Emil Bennet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Köping's goalkeeper Ulf Wallman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Arne Lång. When Emil Bennet came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the spikarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Bennet couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Söderqwist to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Per-Erik Allbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Köping were the better team. Köping's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
