Anders Andreasson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brian Wennerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Lindblom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Anders Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmö Torpedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Anders Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Öberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torbjörn Sillén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Öberg had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jakob Lindström from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 36thth minute of the game Jakob Lindström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Stockholm's Erik Öberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Torbjörn Sillén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Erik Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 41 minutes, Sixten Lund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Stockholm and the Malmö Torpedos players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jakob Lindström made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Joakim Wallengren could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Edvin Lindblom however easily saved by the left post. Erik Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute.
