Urban Stenström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Erik Thorsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Jan-Erik Thorsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AIK FOTBOLL. Jan-Erik Thorsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Beckman in the 36th minute of the match. Nils Kiempe lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hedemora fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! The referee gave AIK FOTBOLL a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stefan Frisck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hedemora's Jan-Erik Thorsberg. 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Beckman was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Beckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Thorsberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hedemora's Stig Söderman got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Jan-Åke Carlberg fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hedemora's protests and gave Jan-Åke Carlberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Jan-Åke Carlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Erik Thorsberg made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Oscar Beckman sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Max Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Hedemora's Jakob Alström got a free kick in the 77th minute. Jan-Erik Thorsberg was a little too slow when Stefan Mårtensson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 3-3. Hedemora's Jan-Erik Thorsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Beckman in the 83rd minute of play. Jan-Erik Thorsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Erik Brogren in the 84th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Stefan Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Beckman got free with Jan-Erik Thorsberg in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 played minutes Hedemora got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Carlberg. Hedemora succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though AIK FOTBOLL had controlled the match.
