Sven-Oskar Strömberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roy Emander showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. Bengt-Arne Smed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Oskar Strömberg having to interfere. The Vejbystrand fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Vejbystrand's Magne Linqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 46 minutes into the match, Jörlanda's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Strömberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magne Linqvist. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Magne Linqvist made the kick off in the second half. Vejbystrand's Roy Emander got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarl Kalfhage to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand's goalkeeper Lars Molander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Mårtensson. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Bengt-Arne Smed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejbystrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Smed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Oskar Strömberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven-Oskar Strömberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Emander, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Oskar Strömberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magne Linqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sven-Oskar Strömberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Elliott Torsberg hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Mark Kolberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jörlanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejbystrand the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vejbystrand's Magne Linqvist got a free kick in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Jörlanda's goal looked a bit too open when Magne Linqvist came free, but Sven-Oskar Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Oskar Strömberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Smed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vejbystrand's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
