Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Stefan Hellström started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morgan Flinck in the 3rd minute of play forced Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Folke Smed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Morgan Flinck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundborn IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oldham Athletic the free kick. After 6 minutes, Benjamin Fransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sundborn IF and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Sundborn IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oldham Athletic:s goal. The goalkeeper, Rikard Lekberg, was totally fooled by Oldham Athletic's Jimmy Linquist, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Hellström in the 10th minute of play forced Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Folke Smed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Max Håning hit a great ball. Folke Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Hellström in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Håkan Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Erik Rydberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rikard Lekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Morgan Flinck in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folke Smed saved Oldham Athletic from getting behind. Stefan Hellström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Folke Smed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Fristedt came free, but Folke Smed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Smed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morgan Flinck in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Max Håning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Folke Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Hellström in the 43rd minute of play. If Stefan Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folke Smed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Erik Fransson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Morgan Flinck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Smed was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Karl-Erik Fransson's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Erik Fransson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Karl-Erik Fransson hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Stefan Hellström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Smed was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Karl-Erik Fransson struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rikard Lekberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oldham Athletic. When Leif Vedholm fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oldham Athletic's protests and gave Leif Vedholm a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Leif Vedholm hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Benjamin Fransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sundborn IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
