With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Axel Malmgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvin Lindström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens-Ove Nyman. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Billy Hedin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gottfrid Apelquist kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mellbystrand IK's Karl-Axel Malmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Browall in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Anthon Gernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Browall struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Karl-Axel Malmgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artetas artilleri. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Hjortsberg during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when Artetas artilleri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Wennerqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Axel Malmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Browall in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthon Gernberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Gernberg in the 53rd minute of the match. Jens-Ove Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Gernberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivar Hult during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when Artetas artilleri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Hult didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Edvin Lindström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Ove Nyman skillfully saved the ball. Jens-Ove Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthon Gernberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72ndth minute of the game Anthon Gernberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Artetas artilleri's Jens-Ove Nyman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthon Gernberg in the 78th minute of play forced Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthon Gernberg spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Artetas artilleri's goal. Anthon Gernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jens-Ove Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mellbystrand IK's Anthon Gernberg in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Artetas artilleri's goalie prevented a goal. Anthon Gernberg scored 2-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Ove Nyman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mellbystrand IK could leave the field as winners, despite Artetas artilleri having more of the ball for most of the match.
