Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tobias Jernberg kicked off to start the match. Oakcroft Thrashers's Rickard Wennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Stålberg in the 3rd minute of play. Timmy Åman hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Oakcroft Thrashers booed when Stockholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Wennerström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute of the match Eric Eriksson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickard Wennerström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Tage Tidén took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Kjell-Arne Palmquist to make any attempt to save it. Andreas Stålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rickard Wennerström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Timmy Åman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oakcroft Thrashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm IF the free kick. 21 minutes into the match, Andreas Stålberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rickard Wennerström. Oakcroft Thrashers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Stålberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Kjell-Arne Palmquist was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Tobias Jernberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tobias Jernberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Folke Alebom hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Oakcroft Thrashers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jan-Erik Pihlblad kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Tidén in the 36th minute of play. Andreas Stålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Wennerström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Tidén in the 41st minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Kjell-Arne Palmquist managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Oakcroft Thrashers's Tobias Jernberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tage Tidén charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Tidén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Oakcroft Thrashers getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tage Tidén hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Eriksson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andreas Stålberg to make the kick off. Oakcroft Thrashers were furious when Timmy Åman was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 52 minutes into the game, one of Oakcroft Thrashers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rickard Wennerström had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Sebastian Aspengren's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 54th minute, Sebastian Aspengren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stockholm IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Alebom got free with Rickard Wennerström in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Eric Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Tobias Jernberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Palmquist skillfully saved the ball. Stockholm IF's Karl Dahlquist got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Oakcroft Thrashers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Berg to maneuver through the defense. Oakcroft Thrashers's Rickard Wennerström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Oakcroft Thrashers from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Tage Tidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Palmquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. If Sebastian Eriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Erik Pihlblad during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
