The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Gerdberg got free with Rickard Wennerström in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sebastian Eriksson fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oakcroft Thrashers's protests and gave Sebastian Eriksson a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastian Eriksson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goalkeeper Rickard Wennerström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agne Isaksson. In the 12th match minute, Oakcroft Thrashers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. Oakcroft Thrashers's Rickard Wennerström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Oakcroft Thrashers from getting a goal against them. If Agne Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Sunkens Surtröjor's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Vassenius came free, but Helge Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Tidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oakcroft Thrashers's Rickard Wennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Waller in the 21st minute of play. Rickard Wennerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Håkansson in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Vassenius in the 27th minute of play forced Sunkens Surtröjor's goalkeeper Helge Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Jesper Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Wennerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutger Esbjörnsson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Agne Isaksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rickard Wennerström made a huge save. Rickard Wennerström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Helge Bäckström came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Oakcroft Thrashers's Per-Arne Vassenius. But to his dismay, Per-Arne Vassenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sebastian Eriksson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The wind increased when Tage Tidén made the kick off in the second half. Rickard Wennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes Oakcroft Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Per-Arne Vassenius. After 54 played minutes, Sunkens Surtröjor's William Eriksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rickard Wennerström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sunkens Surtröjor reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Bröms during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Bröms hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The long shot by Timmy Åman in the 57th minute really tested Helge Bäckström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Sebastian Tolsson got a free kick in the 60th minute. Helge Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Arne Vassenius in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tage Tidén got free with Helge Bäckström in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute of the match, Per-Arne Vassenius tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Helge Bäckström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rickard Wennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agne Isaksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Oakcroft Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Åman. After 77 played minutes, Sunkens Surtröjor's Malte Gerdberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rickard Wennerström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Oakcroft Thrashers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Sebastian Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakcroft Thrashers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Tobias Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, Sunkens Surtröjor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Håning to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Timmy Åman from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Helge Bäckström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Oakcroft Thrashers booed when Sunkens Surtröjor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Håning didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oakcroft Thrashers's Timmy Åman shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Helge Bäckström but with some difficulty. Sebastian Tolsson lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sunkens Surtröjor! The goalkeeper, Helge Bäckström, was totally fooled by Oakcroft Thrashers's Timmy Åman, who 98 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Chants of Oakcroft Thrashers echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sunkens Surtröjor had held the ball for most of the match.
